According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, the latest results from the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for 2026 show that the university has solidified its position among the world's top institutions, ranking in the 1201-1500 band overall.
The rankings, which assess universities based on five core criteria, indicate a positive growth trajectory and a promising outlook for the University of Kurdistan:
-
Research Quality: Significant Improvement
-
Industry: Significant Improvement
-
International Outlook: Significant Improvement
-
Research Environment: Improving Trend
-
Teaching: Improving Trend
Substantial growth in three key indicators and a positive trend in the other two signal continued progress and an enhanced standing for the university in the coming years. This achievement, resulting from the collective efforts of faculty members, researchers, students, and staff, demonstrates the effectiveness of the university's strategic policies aimed at enhancing quality, strengthening industry ties, and expanding international collaborations.
It is noteworthy that a return to a ranking below 1000 in these global standings is highly probable if this upward trend continues.
