An orientation ceremony for the university's associations was held this afternoon in Molavi Hall at the University of Kurdistan to familiarize new students with the available opportunities and volunteer activities.

New Students' First Step: An Introduction to the University's Cultural, Artistic and Social Associations

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, Mohammad Razzaghi, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies, stated at the ceremony: "With approximately 12,000 students, the University of Kurdistan is now among the top universities in the country." He added, "This educational center, with its faculties of Engineering, Basic Sciences, Agriculture, Art and Architecture, Humanities, and Language and Literature, admits students to a diverse range of fields in mathematics, experimental sciences, engineering, arts, and humanities. The University of Kurdistan is also the only university in the country that offers a bachelor's degree in Kurdish Language and Literature." Dr. Razzaghi affirmed, "The University of Kurdistan ranks among the top ten universities in Iran in international rankings. Welfare facilities and student services, including dormitories, counseling centers, health services, sports complexes, shops, and a Tejarat Bank branch, are located on campus to meet the daily needs of students."

Mahmoud Koushesh-Saba, the Director of Academic Affairs, explained: "Students' academic matters throughout their four years of study are managed through the 'Golestan' academic system. All academic processes, including registration, course selection, obtaining exam entry cards, and submitting student requests, are handled through this system." He then elaborated on the academic rules and regulations and explained the processes related to course selection and academic evaluations.

Mohammad Reza Abdolmaleki, the Director of Shahed and Isargar (Martyrs and Veterans) Affairs, stated that this office is an integral part of the university's organizational structure. "This unit was formed to represent the collective sentiments, beliefs, and respect of the university community for the heroes of this land," he said. "Our mission is to honor the memory and status of the combatants, martyrs, and veterans who are our identity assets and national prides."
