
Biography
Sadoon Azizi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering and IT, University of Kurdistan, Sanandaj, Iran. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science, with focus on Cloud Data Centers, from the Amirkabir University of Technology in 2016. His main research interests include, but are not limited to: Cloud Computing, Fog Computing, Internet of Things, High Performance Computing, and Algorithms. His most recent works are focused on Virtual Machine Placement (VMP) in Cloud Computing, IoT Application Placement in Fog-Cloud Systems, Task Scheduling in Fog-Cloud Environments, and Routing Protocols for Low Power and Lossy Networks (LLNs).
Currently, he is teaching “Advanced Topics in Fog and Cloud Computing”, “Randomized Algorithms”, “Advanced Internet of Things” and “Advanced Algorithms” at the graduate level, and “Computer Networks”, “Internet of Things”, “Design and Analysis of Algorithms”, “Artificial intelligence”, and “C Programming” at the undergraduate level at the University of Kurdistan.
He is also the leader of the Internet of Things Research Laboratory and manager at the High Performance Computing (HPC) center at the University of Kurdistan.
